I know this is long, but please read through and provide us with input. We want to know what you think, and if you have any suggestions or if we could do better at making something clearer.
The game begins in a thread. It will be roleplay based, with a minimum post length of one paragraph.
Each person may use one account/character per game (including players + spectators). If we figure out people are waiting until their team is online to post, it results in an automatic forfeit of that team.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: can affect the game
other information as we see fit
Players and spectators may post at any time during the game. There will be badges people may use to show support for teams, and those posts may count towards the final score or outcome at the end.
An example of first reply by a player:After a healthy dinner of pasta and a night of comfortable sleep, Alette stepped onto the Quidditch Pitch with confidence. She clutched her Dragonslayer 280 with a tight grip in her right hand, her golden gloves gripping the soft textured wood. She looked out into the crowd above her, amazed at the sight. As she made it to the center of the pitch, with a deep breath the Hufflepuff mounted her broom, ready to take off. It was this game she was determined to grab ahold of the quaffle.
After one player from each team makes it onto the Quidditch Pitch, we will release the quaffle.
From there, only Chasers can snag the quaffle. The first Chaser to post after the quaffle is released grabs ahold of it. The quaffle must be passed a number of six times, and one person from each position (Chaser, Seeker, Keeper, Beater) must post during their team's quaffle possession, before a shot may be attempted towards the Keeper.
Chasers keep track of the amount of times a Quaffle is passed by counting up in parentheses at the end of their post. e.g. (1), (2), (3), etc.
After (6) [if one person from each position posted during the possession], Chasers begin passing again, this time counting downwards beginning at (3). e.g. (3), (2), (1), (0)....
The Keeper can attempt to block the quaffle at this time, but scoring is not official until one reply after the Keeper's attempted block. If the Keeper does not block the quaffle before the scoring team reaches (0), the team automatically scores.
Bludgers may only be hit on every three pages, beginning on page three (so pages 3, 6, 9, 12, etc.). The bludgers may be hit towards Chasers holding the quaffle.
The only exception to the "every three pages" rule is immediately after a Keeper tries blocking the quaffle from scoring. An immediate reply from an opposing Beater results in a successful shot and unsuccessful blocks.
However, only one bludger may be used by both teams per page.
The snitch won't be seen until both seekers post at least seven times. The team with the most action-packed posts will catch the snitch at the end.
An example of an action-packed post:Zooming back and forth around the Quidditch Pitch on her broom, Eleanor Rigby barely paid attention to the game going on beside her. Her main focus remained on searching for the golden snitch. In this sunlight, she would have thought it would have been easier to catch its glistening exterior. She heard a loud noise beside her, and losing focus, her attention immediately turned to Maxwell, someone from the opposing team who had just gotten hit with a bludger and dropped the quaffle. A part of her stomach dropped as she realized she couldn't pick up the quaffle and that part of the game was not in her hands. Flying away from the game again, Eleanor sought out on her own mission.
Action-packed posts describe what is happening on the pitch, where in the pitch your character is, and where a ball (or multiple balls) are located. You may mention other elements, but a focus must remain on what is happening.Successful Shots: 10 points
