It was a lovely day and Kat had no intention of spending the entire day inside. Lunch was the perfect excuse to get out and enjoy the warm afternoon. After a stop by the kitchen, where the house elves kindly supplied her with sandwiches, pickles, and homemade potato crisps, she happily stepped into the open air of the courtyard.
She had always loved it out here, as did many students. The grass and plants were well kept and there were plenty of shady spots to relax in. The courtyard was rather empty at the moment with most students enjoying a warm lunch in the Great Hall. Pondering a place to sit for a moment, she whipped out her wand and gave it a snap. A large blanket appeared out of thin air and settled itself onto the grass. With a satisfied smile she made herself comfortable on it and began to spread out her lunch. The elves had made more than enough for just her. Picking out a rather nice looking turkey sandwich, she leaned back against the bit of wall behind her and dug in.
