The first week back seemed to be going well so far. Few students in trouble, no problems in his class, and no homework to grade yet. Then again, that last thing was completely of Pavlo's own doing. With nothing to do at the time, he had decided to relax and see what was in that morning's Daily Prophet.
Leaned back in his chair, with his feet propped on his desk, and nose in the paper, the Care of Magical Creature's professor seemed oblivious to the loud snapping and cracking sounds coming from a few feet away from his desk. Turning to and skimming the sports section for a moment, he settled on an article about the area Quidditch teams beginning their training camps soon. Because of his size he hadn't been very agile on a broom after a certain age, but he still enjoyed following the sport.
Kari on the other hand, was completely focused on the giant cow femur that lay before him. The fact that the bone was roughly the same size as him didn't seem to be of concern to the happy crup. His tail wagged like crazy as he munched and crunched his way through one end of it.
Some people talk to animals. Not many listen though. That's the problem. - A.A. Milne
