Lexi sat in the middle of the Quidditch pitch, her Zwiffer laying at her side. She drank in the sun while she waited, hoping others would show up. Most of all, she hoped that flying club would be a hit, and that they could have regular meetings. It had been a very long summer without flying, what with the concerns of Muggles coming closer to discovering the wizarding world. There wasn't widespread panic yet, but it looked to be heading that way.
Groaning, Lexi jumped to her feet, grabbing her broom as she did. These negative thoughts were putting her in a bad mood, something she hated. Maybe flying around the pitch would help. She mounted her broom and bolted straight up, pointing her broom almost vertical as she held on. The wind on her face, blowing through her hair, did exactly what she'd hoped it would. Within moments, she was feeling much better as she darted around the goalposts, as she dove to the ground below, pulling up at the very last moment. The thrill of flying coursed through her veins.
The fifteen year old Hufflepuff soared around the pitch, the wind taking her breath away. If there was a heaven, this was it.
