Adrian pushed open the heavy door leading into his cluttered dark office, as he was making his way to his desk, his leg hits the corner of the stool, causing him to curse out in pain. "Bloody Hell! For god sake, who leaves a stool in the middle of the bloody room." he said, pulling out his wand from his robes he waves it around the room causing the shutters to open up letting in a blast of sunshine into the room. The room smelled of dampness due to water dripping in from the walls, and slight noxious odor lingered in the air from previous experiments through the year.
Limping towards his desk, he carefully dropped down his bag with a thump and settled his long body down into his chair. Last year proved to be a interesting thing, as the students who attended his class were all bright and had the motivation to do well. He did question though how the new term would be with the next batch of students, who would have to learn to get along with each other if they wanted pass his class. With his wand still in his hand he pointed towards a hidden shelf in his desk,which hid all of his alcohol and other goodies he liked to keep stashed just in case he needed it. He grabbed the fire whiskey bottle and a small glass and poured the amber color liquid into the glass before taking a swig from it. "Ah...still gotta love that burn as it goes down to warm the stomach. Now to move on to working on my syllabus and class schedule for this year." he said with a deep chuckle, pulling out a few sheets of parchment paper and his quill he begun to write out everything.
