HESTIA MARIE BROCKLEHURST*
SIXTH year, SIXTEEN years old
representing RAVENCLAW, bearing a 10.5", pliant redwood, with
a blended core of one unicorn hair and one demiguise hair wand
hestia was born with rather normal features. no veela or metamorphmamagus genes in her blood. like her father's side of the family, she has chocolate brown hair and warm caramel eyes to match. her skin has a natural tan, or olive as some people like to say. her skins is typically clean, though she may get some acne here and there like any other teenager.
clumsy.
hestia basically has two left feet, which is not a good thing. she tries to make sure that when she does trip or fall that she only injures herself rather than to drag others down, no pun intended there. she often jokes that somebody must have cast some sort of jinx when she was little.
bookworm
yup. she loves books. how did you know? possibly because of the five in her hand and the one floating in front of her while she walked. or maybe she mentioned her favorite book by her favorite author on a certain subject over a hundred times. or maybe she asked to borrow whatever you reading once you were done.
nervous
hestia doesn't fair too well in social situations. rather than being a social little butterfly, she tends to be like a timid little bunny rabbit. whenever she is in a conversation with somebody, she will stumble over her words and forget simple things to say. when dragged into one by a friend or family member, she tries to find a way out of it.
hestia, was born to lucian and jacqueline brocklehurst on a lovely day in early november. she was born five minutes after her older sister venus and four years after her older brother demetrius. later on she became the middle child when her mother had a baby boy named theodore and then a baby girl named lynette.
unlike the rest of her family, who loved staying outside and being part of a society. hestia always liked to stay indoors and read. what did she read exactly? anything she could get her little hands on. her mother would often take her to various bookshops and let the girl run wild and pick up as much as she could, without tripping and having them fall out of her hands.
when her letter for her and her sister, hestia was very excited. she had heard many stories of hogwarts from her brother, father and mother. needless to say, the night before going to hogwarts, she could barely sleep at all. on the train ride there, she had sat down next to her sister and had fallen asleep for most of the trip there, though venus did wake her up once they were close.
most of hestia's time was spent in the library. the place was so huge with so much books, she literally felt like she was in heaven. she had set some silly goal to read all of the books when some kids had teased her for reading so much. she still isn't sure if she plans on reading every single book in the library or not, but has figured she is pretty close to it.
currently in her sixth year, hestia doesn't really know what she wants to do when she leaves hogwarts. she has thought on being a healer or possibly an author or just simply managing a bookshop. the classes she has come to love are charms and transfiguration. the idea of changing one thing to another still amuses her. while she is good at those, she has some trouble in the potions department. being clumsy doesn't help when one is too nervous to barely move an inch in front of a hot cauldron.
